Hey I'm Chris, I do web stuff.

I'm a full-stack web developer/engineer building responsive, user-first websites. Check out the things I've built or the tech I've used to build them below.

Built with Nuxt

...but it doesn't have to be

Projects

The 3 most recent projects of mine.

Content search with Nuxt, Algolia, and Contentful

I wanted folks to be able to search for pages on my website

Website internationalization and gatsby-plugin-i18n-config

I wanted to get a better understanding of how the 'pro' sites do localization, while building a Gatsby plugin that tries to emulate Next's i18n config.

LaRocque.dev

This website that you are currently looking at, built on Nuxt and fed from Contentful.

Tech

The tech I use and where I've used it

GraphQL

A query language for your API — GraphQL provides a complete description of the data in your API, gives clients the power to ask for exactly what they need and nothing more, makes it easier to evolve APIs over time, and enables powerful developer tools.

HTML

The HyperText Markup Language, or HTML is the standard markup language for documents designed to be displayed in a web browser. It can be assisted by technologies such as Cascading Style Sheets and scripting languages such as JavaScript.

Tailwind CSS

A utility-first CSS framework centered around helper classes that can be used to build any design, directly in your markup.

Github

GitHub is where people build software. More than 73 million people use GitHub to discover, fork, and contribute to over 200 million projects.

Gitlab

GitLab is The DevOps Platform that empowers organizations to maximize the overall return on software development by delivering software faster and efficiently, while strengthening security and compliance.

NPM

npm is the package manager for Node.js. It was created in 2009 as an open source project to help JavaScript developers easily share packaged modules of code.
